“The earth carries memory, force and fragility in equal measure. That tension is the foundation of my work.”
— Megan Weston
Megan Weston is a Barwon Heads–based artist recognised for her large-scale abstract landscapes inspired by the earth viewed from above. Working from aerial perspectives, she transforms topography into immersive paintings that explore the raw energy, movement and memory embedded within the land.
Her practice sits between observation and instinct — structured yet expressive. Using layered resin, expansive colour fields and physical mark-making, Weston builds luminous surfaces that evoke erosion, sediment, atmosphere and depth. The works are less representations of place and more meditations on force — how the earth shifts, holds, fractures and endures.
Rather than depicting a single geography, Weston paints the elemental language of the planet itself. Her compositions suggest scale beyond the human viewpoint, inviting the viewer into a perspective that feels both powerful and humbling.
Known for pioneering innovative resin techniques, Weston creates works with sculptural presence and immersive intensity. Her paintings are held in private collections across Australia and internationally, and have been exhibited at Melbourne’s Fenton & Fenton. She has collaborated with luxury brands including Christian Dior and Qantas, with her works displayed in Dior boutiques and featured in Qantas First and Business Class.
Her work has been featured across leading design and lifestyle platforms including Belle, Inside Out, The Design Files and The Block.
